Backup camera problem

Because I had no success with m last threat, I will try it again and hope someone can help me:

I have a DUDU7 and want to install a simple backup camera which I activate with a switch next to the HUD. Nothing special, no big deal - I thought...

The camera is definitely working - when I start the app AUX and plug the video cable of the camera into the AUX Video In, I get an Image from the camera.

When I use the video in for the reverse camera (on connector F) absolutely nothing happens...

I tried 3 different types of cameras, alwsys the same result.

Please help!!!

Thank you for your answer. I still do not understand why I should need a G5 connection. I want to switch on the camera with aa simple switch and turn it off when I do not need it. I don't want the camera to be activated only ehen I am in reverse gear...

Sorry, I misunderstood, I haven't tried that connection, but it should work if you connect the power supply to ACC.

Thanks again, I tried this but nothing happens, no image, nothing...
What could be the problem?
Again, camera is working, is sending an image via the video in at AUX when I connect it there..

Have you tried turning on the switch in the backup camera settings? Or changing the video format?

Yes, I tried both, changing the format and also activate that function and deactivating it....
Must be a hardware issue, right?

Connect CVBS to F, check if the connector is properly seated and if the pin is not damaged.

If the camera is connected to the F connector and has power, it should work. Either the problem is in the camera or in the hardware, it's hard to say.

Since I tried it with 3 different cameras it must be the connector, I guess...

I did a test and found that the rear view camera does not work when the 360° mode is on. Check if the rear view camera mode is on: Settings/ Car/ Factory settings

I also read on the DUDUAUTO telegram that the F7 is more suitable for constant power supply of the rear camera, the voltage on it is stabilized and does not exceed 11.5-12V, which is better for the camera than power supply from ACC. In the factory settings, you can set the power supply method from F7, either to a constant value or when reverse gear is engaged. But apparently the switching does not work and there is still constant power supply.

Hi, Are you still there? Even when I connect the trigger cable to the G5, the screen does not switch. I think it's probably the same situation, but have you solved it?

could it be a software configuration issue? The difference between aux being just a feed, and the standard port requiring a canbus trigger with car being put into reverse gear? Im clueless on how it all works but just trying to brainstorm a potential

Yes!! Thanks for letting me know. I didn't have any issues with the previous machine.

I read various posts and tried that too. I don't understand why Canbus can't pick up the reverse signal in the first place.

I have already tried LZ and OD, but none of the doors, speed, ILL, or reverse signals work. I don't need SWC. I am considering purchasing this as a last resort, but what do you think?
