I don’t know if anyone has had issues with feedback/ground loop noise when amplifying or using optical cable output to DAC, but I tried something unorthodox which completely got rid of all of it. I used to power my DAC box using the USB ports on the audio unit itself, and when I amplified the signal - horrible ground loop. No matter how I wired the power, I couldn’t get rid of it. I recently tried to plug in my DAC 12v power supply to an external power source (Milwaukee 18v battery with an Amazon battery charger for cell phones) and every last bit of background noise disappeared. I have clean, loud signal with no loss of quality with great gain settings. I’m not saying this is the solution for you, but don’t be afraid to think outside of the box. This audio unit is light years ahead of everything else I’ve found on the market and I’m excited to see what else comes from the developers. My vehicle is older, with no canbus support…but this unit has one very satisfied customer.
