picasso1850 the stand alone Carplay APP is still 100% functional

That's an even bigger waste of Dudu7 resources though - it's degraded to be a mere screencast client then.
Anyway, not my problem - I use apps locally on the unit and it works, in good quality and resolution 😉

I think that a solution could be to bring it back for PIP but to then maybe lock the PIP size (only for Carplay) so that it's stable.

One more thing I noticed which wasnt in 3.5. When 360 app opens in reverse or via app, the nav bar is always there making the screen a little smaller esp if the nav bar is on the side. Before in 3.5 the 360 app used to hide the nav bar automatically even if the nav bar hide function was off. If i turn on nav bar hide function for full screen apps, the 360 app hides it but other pip issues arises as mentioned when turning on nav bar hide function

I also have this car play issue which was there in 3.5 as well where when connecting to carplay the units wifi hotspot is not turning on for the carplay to function but thr hotspot is not turning on and when i go to android settings of hotspot it says error turning on. So in order to connect to apple car play i first need to manually turn on hotspot and connect my iphone to it and then open the carlink app for apple carplay to work. I have already tried factory reset but same issue

Improvement suggestion – LPF / HPF filter :
The current vertical slider for adjusting the LPF and HPF filters and DTS setting etc... is not precise enough. It would be very helpful to add buttons "+" and "–" to allow for more accurate and fine-tuned frequency adjustments. Right now, using only finger control makes it hard to set the exact value. Please consider adding this feature in a future update...

Amin89 I agree, 100%. I also struggle with this when using the OS . I suspect there's a UI/UX programming challenge that's complicating the issue for the dudu team because its a very user friendly functional change that makes logical sense....

Well, I communicated with frustration, because none of the last messages I posted were replied.
Anyway, I was comparing TS10 precisely because even being worse, at least in case of PIP is better. Is true that just has one PIP window (no need for more to be honest), but is working beautifully with no problems at all like saying that should be achievable. In any case, yep you a right, will try to be more positive and patient.

May I ask if you are talking about DUDU7?
If you still have this problem after updating to the 20250519 system, it's very easy to open the system update app, find more upgrades , upgrade the bluetooth firmware to the latest and then try again!

ed_co That last message you mentioned, was it about PIP running carlink?

DUDU-Meng thanks. Do I use the 3.5 update that’s posted here and what do you mean a blank file. I saw another post from a person that said when they tried to roll back the launcher wouldn’t load.

DUDU-Meng yes dudu7. Already tried updating same problem

picasso1850 can't set HPF at 80hz using touch, it always at 82 at closest. I agree that it should show + and - as well as the current Hz for the settings. For example I can only guess that the OP has 80hz subwoofer. Can see it anywhere that it is at 80.

This is because in OS 3.5 there is an older version of the launcher and when you do a downgrade without resetting the data, something does not fit. By design, downgrading the Android system, e.g. smartphones, is done with formatting the entire memory. That is why in that post I wrote that maybe clearing the launcher application data directly before the downgrade could help, but I have not tried it.

New and old databases are incompatible, downgrading to 3.5 requires clearing the desktop data or manually updating the latest version of the desktop APP

Okay, so dual PIP is completely not working now. Added three apps, used 'dual pip' app, constantly message about dual PIP conflicts. Yes, I have enabled dual PIP and three apps attached, I'm using Pip1, pip2, pip3 apps, not 'real' apps. Has been working fine on 3.5 (for two apps at once, never managed to run 3). Anyone has this issue and resolved it somehow?

Cabrioman I fouind out: You need to start the file manager and install an apk from an USB device. After starting it it will update the app.

Using OTA, I see that there is now ver 250519 available which for DuduOS 3.6 and is about 45MB in size. Take a look at the change log and see if there are any issues addressed with PIP, Bluetooth, or anything else. I installed it over the 250515 that I have installed, but haven't tested anything yet.
