DUDU-Meng I also had the OTA upgrade error and followed your advice and performed the upgrade manually via USB which was successful. As you can see from the screenshots my DuDu7 is running the latest OS, however when it restarts I am continually prompted that an update has been detected and I get the countdown to perform the upgrade. I have let this run and the device reboots, there are no upgrade screens or error messages but the upgrade prompt reappears which I have to cancel every time. Can you advise how I can remove this please?

DUDU-Meng hello. Can you provide directions and links to the necessary files to do a rollback to 3.5. My CarPlay was fine in the PIP and the reason I bought this unit. Without that option the unit has lost so much value for me.

You can fall back, dudu5/6 can upgrade 3.5 directly with a USB flash drive.
For Dudu7, you need to create a blank file manually, rename it as sec-downgrade, and upgrade it together with the upgrade version.

On the initial post screen here I saw the widget to the left showing the cars in front and distance. Could someone please advise what device or camera is providing that data into Dudu? I would love to have this.

DUDU-Meng thanks. Do I use the 3.5 update that’s posted here and what do you mean a blank file. I saw another post from a person that said when they tried to roll back the launcher wouldn’t load.

Guys just bought a dudu7 from MekedeTech that has DUDUos 3.0, and I don’t see any option to update to latest version.. how can I update from 3.0 to 3.6 or 3.5

ed_co The dudu team has commented on it in this forum. Carplay and PIP creates instability issues so they've correctly determined that stability is more important then functionality.

My girlfriend has a working Carplay in PIP mode in a TS10 unit (Junsun X7 4G) with no single problem at all nor stability issues... Is supposed that FYT is better than TS?? That's REALLY disappointing.
So Dudu people, without trying to fix it, just eliminate the possibility of using it. Which in any case is would be just an option -at your own risk, which you can use or not- for who would try to use it, and deleting it is absurd.

While I don't get why anyone would use Carplay in a higher quality unit such as Dudu7 - Duduauto should have communicated the PIP decision better...

gismo a side feature of one app was paused, regardless if its temporary or permanent, the stand alone Carplay APP is still 100% functional. I don't think an S.O.S signal to every duduOS user was warranted. But that's just my opinion. 🙂

@ed_co I don't think anything can be said that will be good enough for you. Fairly irrational and demanding position you're taking. Who's to say they aren't trying to make it work better in the long run, have patience....But comparing a TS10 to DuduOS, REALLY?come on man 🙂

That's an even bigger waste of Dudu7 resources though - it's degraded to be a mere screencast client then.
Anyway, not my problem - I use apps locally on the unit and it works, in good quality and resolution 😉

I think that a solution could be to bring it back for PIP but to then maybe lock the PIP size (only for Carplay) so that it's stable.

Well, I communicated with frustration, because none of the last messages I posted were replied.
Anyway, I was comparing TS10 precisely because even being worse, at least in case of PIP is better. Is true that just has one PIP window (no need for more to be honest), but is working beautifully with no problems at all like saying that should be achievable. In any case, yep you a right, will try to be more positive and patient.
