I have an issue that I feel sure is something to do with bluetooth music/BT music app/APTX or HD audio settings when my phone (Pixel 9 Pro XL) connects via bluetooth (BT from here on).
I can play any media app on my Dudu7 (6/64 running 3.6 beta 4) absolutely fine, locally, FM radio, Tidal, Spotify etc no problems at all. But the moment my phone connects via BT the music cuts out either completely or intermittently and the phone continuously cycles through attempts to auto connect via BT. If I disconnect or forget the BT connection on either Dudu or phone, the original source music on Dudu plays fine again.
I have tried many, many options such as disabling HD audio on phone under dudu BT connection settings, disabling BT music under dudu BT connection settings, trying various combos of phone AVRCP (1.3, 1.4, 1.5 [default] and 1.6) and MAP (1.2 [default], 1.3 and 1.4), disabling Bluetooth LE audio hardware offload and same for A2DP hardwware offload. Tried various combos of either Dudu initiating BT connection to phone, other pin number passwords for connection from Dudu, initiating BT connection from phone to Dudu 1st, wiping BT settings etc with reboots inbetween. Have also tried flashing sys.fyt.bluetooth_type=7 after default type=0 didn't work using DUDUOS_CFGMOD_v1.00.7z.
Also on occasion after connecting via BT as the connection loops from disconnect to connect I get a persistent unknown call pop up on Dudu (but no actual call on phone). Clicking end call only reconnects instantly and that goes into a loop too.
There's not any way (with root) that I can see to uninstall either the built in Dudu music app or BT music app as they are system apps. But I feel it has something to do with these. If I connect successfully via BT I can stream Tidal music etc from phone to Dudu and it plays fine. But as soon as I change to Dudu apps (tidal, spotify, FM radio, DAB etc) the music cuts out again.
Have also tried factory resetting either through Dudu options or Dudu's android settings to erase data and start fresh. Still the problem persists.
PLEASE please look into this as I cannot connect my phone to Dudu via BT at all. Obviously this is a fundamental requirement to allow phone calls etc to Dudu head unit. Please see attached photo of specs and BT blinklog for further info and let me know if there is anything more you would me to try.
Many thanks indeed. (Other than that, and UK numbers beginning 07 not showing as contacts - only +44 numbers show as contacts, I am absolutely delighted with the Dudu!!)
