  • Bottom NavBar buttons too small on 12.3 inch display.

I come with an UI improvement idea. On my 12.3 inch widescreen, the bottom NavBar buttons are really small and cannot be used while driving. When I'm driving I use only the top NavBar because the buttons are a little bit bigger and better spaced. Could you adapt a higher NavBar, with the buttons a little bit more spaced (this won't be a problem - plenty of space) buttons for the widescreens?
Maybe you can include a simple switch on the NavBar settings stock/enlarged NavBar?


For widescreen it does have the problem of the bottom navbar being too small, we'll figure out how to fix that, like adding an enlarged layout?Or try the left navbar

    YAOXILONG это касается не только широкоформатных дисплеев. На 9 дюймов они тоже малы. Но на 11.5, 13 выглядят нормально. Возможно можно адаптировать именно под размер дисплея? Здесь конечно нужно соблюсти тонкую грань между "красиво" и "удобно".

            YAOXILONG I don't know what you mean by "an enlarged layout". You have the first photo as an example. That is good enough. What I personally want is that bottom NavBar to be higher (10 - 20%) and the buttons a little bit more spaced. Thank you. I was saying about the switch stock/enlarged because maybe some people would like it more as it is now. I prefer to loose a bit of screen surface and to be safe while I'm driving. Don't know about the others but I saw on the Telegram group people complaining about the same thing, so I'm not the only one. Again, thank you for your hard work.

                Тоже имею на борту широкий дисплей . Отключил широкий формат и провёл в обычный. Появилась возможность выбора макета и дополнительные настройки, Тем самым увеличились иконки в нижней панели навигации, и выбрал макет панель с лева, и настроил размер виджетов , стало гораздо удобней

                  Поддерживаю! Если они малы на 12.3 то на 7 я просто плачу. Было бы полезно менять размер

                  A UI scale % setting would be nice. The faceplate for my device does not give me any room around the edge of the screen. I'm finding it hard to select the buttons close to the edge and in the corners. Even in 3rd party apps. In google maps its hard to select the search bar or the settings. This is with the 9.5" DUDU7.

                    Dingle34 Try to adjust these settings. It will make your screen smaller, but you'll be able to press buttons.

                            MihaiFlorin Thanks! I had never been into that menu because it required a password. Got the password and changed the boundaries. This fixed the issue of not being able to select the buttons and also some of the content being off of the screen at the bottom.

                            My fat fingers still end up pressing the wrong thing though. So I would still like to be able to change the UI scale. The status bar is the worst culprit, it is so thin. I’d like the option to disable the status bar as well because I can barely read what it says anyway.

                                Dingle34 In the latest minimalist mode you can disable the status bar. Don't know about the NavBar though. Regarding the NavBar only the devs would be able to give you an answer. But from what I know the UI of the DUDU OS has fixed DPI.

                                  Прошу пожалуйста увеличить высоту navbar на дисплеях 9(9,5)" и 10(10,36)", хотя бы на 20-50%, ну и соответственно все элементы отображаемые на ней. Во время поездки на автомобиле, было бы так удобнее оперировать с navbar.

                                              Поддержу. На экране 12.3 дюйма, с разрешением 1920х720, если навбар расположить снизу, он очень узкий. Высота иконок 5 мм.
                                              Трудно попасть пальцем.
                                              И желательно, добавить количество иконок в нижнем навбаре. Если расположить навбар слева, то в настройках появляется ползунок количества иконок в навбаре. При выборе навбара снизу, этот ползунок исчезает. А там бы как раз прекрасно поместились бы и 8 и 10 иконок.
