Media/Radio app / USB/WIFI connection bug

Hi all,

When opening the radio app or media app, the power to USB looks to be cut/reset, this causes things such as mood light, tpms to also disconnect.. it also disconnects the wifi.

The issue has been resolved and the Car Link APP needs to be updated.
Just update the system.

We have rechecked the issue again.
The issue on the 7870 device can be fixed by updating CarPlay, but the issue on the 7862 device cannot be fixed by modifying software.

The reason is that the 7870 and 7862 have different hardware.
Opening the Media app will read the USB device once. The reading methods of 7870 and 7862 are different, and 7862 will cause the USB device to disconnect and reconnect.

If it is a 7862 device, to avoid this issue, you can try connecting to CarPlay wirelessly.

Yes this is with 7862, I will check again with wireless car play and feedback.

I understand the hardware limitations which of course cannot be helped or solved, however this only appears to happen when opening DUDU apps (Media etc) which lead me to believe it was likely DUDO apps causing the issue.

I can confirm that using Carlink 2.0 Wirelessly, the usb issue isn’t present..

However it’s now a question of hotspot internet with the usb issie or wireless carlink and no internet, as you cannot enable both.

The problem is caused by reading USB devices.

On the 7862 device, if you first connect CarPlay via cable and then connect a USB device, such as a USB drive, you will not be able to read the USB drive.
If you connect the USB drive first and do not unplug it, you will no longer be able to connect CarPlay through wired connections.
This issue will not occur on the 7870 device.

Media APP disconnected CarPlay via wired connection to ensure that you can read the songs on the USB drive.
Other applications, such as other music players, do not disconnect CarPlay through wired connections and cannot read USB drives.

Yes, currently it can only be like this.
When using a wired connection to CarPlay, do not enter multimedia applications.
Or use wireless connection to CarPlay, but 7862 device cannot connect to the network.

caolz It would be nice to have an option to disable usb scanning so that the media app only has access to media on internal storage. This way we could access the media app without interrupting usb wired CarPlay/android auto for 7862 devices.

Wireless Android Auto in Car Link APP keeps on dicsonnecting.

Hi thanks for the link. Still having the same problem with Samsung S24 Ultra. Sometimes it connects automatically sometimes it keeps on searching. Then i have to turn of bluetooth of phone and reconnect. Do not have this problem with my Medeke M6 Pro in other car...

Then open this option Setup>HOME>Widget>Navi>Widget>System navigation widget settings to follow the Launcher/Theme
or
Setup>Sound>Settings>Enable Navigation Sound While Playing Music
