  • Radio RT text error

When you first open the radio the RDS and RT data are totally fine. but as long as you switch the channel the text from the previous station it will be displayed on the actual station. If you navigate home the situation will go back to normal but as soon as you change the station it will happen again.
Please get rid of those "PS" letters before the station name.

Same problem on DUDU7. Also, when new text appears, it is appended to the previous one, when it should be replaced.
Radio stations in Poland use RT to show the current song being played, latest news, etc., so RT changes every dozen seconds.

FYI, in RDS there is RadioText A/B flag, and from RDS specification:

If the receiver detects a change in the flag (from binary "0” to binary "1” or vice-versa), then the whole Radio Text display shall be cleared and the newly received Radio Text message segments shall be written into the display; If the receiver detects no change in the flag, then the received text segments or characters shall be written into the existing displayed message and those segments or characters for which no update is received shall be left unchanged.

Just noticed now that special letters like "å", "ø", "æ" are not displayed in the RT text. @unx Can you confirm? I know that polish language has also some special characters.

MihaiFlorin Text in polish RDS data is without special characters apparently.

So with special characters, text in upper screen should look like

Dzwońcie do nas - tel. 12 DWA MILIONY czynny całą dobę

ciubaka In danish (I live in Denmark) they don't appear at all. I will try to find an example and post a screenshot.

To specify, I don't want to show special characters if they aren't sent by RDS at all, just wanted to show how it would look like with them.

The same problem with caching the text of the first radio station into the others.

There is indeed this issue, and we will fix it.
