  • Using Siri instead of Gemini

Hi I'm currently using the DUDUOS 3.6 Beta 1 on a 7862 chipset in a Hyundai Sonata dn8 2020 model
I am currently enjoying the fascinating features that DUDUOS has to offer!

Quick question, currently if I press the voice command (recognition) button, it starts up Gemini in the android all in one, instead of starting Siri in my bluetooth connected iPhone.

Are there currently any method of changing the settings to activate siri instead of gemini? or turn off gemini in total?

There is no such feature as you mentioned.

DUDU-Meng Why not? Prior to owning the Dudu7, I simply used a bluetooth AUX in adapter for my Honda's stock radio. Part of the adapter was a large button that worked to pause, fwd, reverse and with a long press it would ping SIRI. This was all done through a bluetooth connection to the phone (sound was sent to the radio via the aux input). Why can't whatever button is trained to be voice command on the DUDU7 be set to ping SIRI?

System Voice and Bluetooth Voice are two different things.
The default voice button is to wake up the voice in the dudu system.
You want to wake up your bluetooth connected cell phone voice you need to go to steering wheel buttons learn find cell phone voice learn a button try compatibility

DUDU-Meng On my Dudu7 with DUDUOS 3.6, the SWC Click To Learn only has only "Voice" command, I couldn't find the "Phone Voice" command under Phone. Do you know how I can bring out the "Phone Voice" SWC command?

          DUDU-Meng On my Dudu7 3.6, I don’t have the “Phone Voice” command.

DUDU7 has this feature, but DUDU5/6 does not because the MCU has a limited number of slots and there is no room to add this feature.

My unit is a Dudu7. Based on what you said, Dudu7 supposed to have to the “Phone Voice” command? But somehow it doesn’t appear inside my Dudu7 unit. Do you have any idea how solve the missing Phone Voice command? Thanks.

I just saw your system information. You should update to the latest system to have this feature.
This feature was added in June.
You can also install this app manually.

DUDU-Meng Hi Meng, thanks for sharing the APK file. After installing the APK file, the “Phone Voice” SWC command is now available on my Dudu7.

I have tested the “Phone Voice” command, it can activate the Siri on my iPhone connected via Bluetooth, this will only work as long as CarPlay is not connected.

If CarPlay is connected, both the “Voice” and “Phone Voice” SWC command will only bring up the Carlink app, it doesn’t activate Siri.

It seems like the Carlink app doesn’t have the feature to activate Siri using SWC. I wish Carlink app could support activating Siri using SWC.

Al-Stallman Try holding down the voice button on the steering wheel to see if you can activate CarPlay voice control.

DUDU-Meng Hi, I have tried press and hold the "Phone" and "Phone Voice" SWC button, the effect is no different from single pressing the "Phone" and "Phone Voice" SWC button.

But I need to mention that my car's SWC doesn't seems to recognize long pressing of SWC. The only long press SWC that works for my car is "volume+" and "volume-". But for other SWC which I have tried to learn as a long press, it doesn't works on my car. I feel like my car's SWC long press is another issue that I should open or find an existing post to seek support.

It should not be supported at this time. I will notify you as soon as there is any progress.

DUDU-Meng Thanks for confirming that DUDUOS 3.6 does not support activating the Siri on CarPlay / Carlink app using SWC.
