Cool, thank you. I'll do that.
Should the harness be plug and play?
Aegwyn11 I know it is not nice at all when it happens, but, if it comforts you, it happened to me too
MihaiFlorin hah good to know the upside is I learned how all my dash pieces come apart so once it's all sorted it'll be easy. Plus I figured out that I needed to order adapters to use the factory GPS antenna and USB so ultimately not a total waste of time.

abidali No. This is not right. There are more than one harnesses for Toyota. For example, on my Corolla hybrid this is the one that works. As you can see it has less connectors. The one the OP posted is working in Toyota Yaris 2014 (my brother has one)
The best for Aegwyn11 is to make a picture of the original Toyota unit and to send it to his seller.
It is the same with the new Suzuki Connect system.
I ordered a harness with canbus-box for my Vitara with SLDA system but got a harness for the new Connect system. I ordered in India. No refund.

I ordered from Mekede in China (I'm in the USA). After some discussion, they agreed to send the correct harness free of charge.

I’m afraid I have the same issue. I have Toyota Corolla Touring Sports Premium version that comes with a JBL unit (which appears to be a Panasonic in fact). When ordering I did send the (front) picture of that unit and upon installation yesterday, none of the connectors from the original Toyota cables fit into the supplied can-bus (RZ-FT-01)connectors. And I agree, the time spent was not entirely lost, I did learn quite a lot about dismantling pannels . I have sent a message to the WhatsApp channel of theirs and waiting for a response. My advice for new buyers would actually be to take out a stock unit first, take the pictures of the back of the unit and cables and only then place the order. Will keep you posted.
An update - the replacement harness they sent worked perfectly and I was able to get the unit working.
Separately I ordered an adapter cable so I could use my van's built in GPS antenna and it's working fine as well. https://www.discountcarstereo.com/sumi-fakra.html
So I had received a new cable harness last Friday and connected it to the cables of my Toyota. There were two connectors that fit in that new harness and one of them did not power up the dudu7 unit. The other one luckily did and I connected everything (mic, 4g and gps etc). My first impression is Wow!! What a difference in sound and available options. Listening to the sound of the Dudu7, I can’t believe how much potential Toyota is NOT using with their OEM kit. The canbus integration seems to work fine but a I need to further explore its capabilities. So far so good .
