  • Speaker Amplifier Sudden Thump/Bass pop at ignition on and off

I am using factory amplifier and optical decoder box. When system starts and turns off. Sub makes a very loud sound. Any one resolve this?

Duomax I to am having the same issue but I think mine is from the dsp. I have a new showing up tonight so will see

Is there a separate dsp and power amp?
There's a current surge sound at startup and shutdown, most likely caused by an aftermarket dsp or power amp.

it is a mercedes w211 with harman kardon sound system. the optical decoder box is plugging and sending sound directly to the oem amplifier.

Duomax try powering you dac from a source other than your car. Run an extension cord and use a usb brick or power bank and see if that makes a difference

I tried plugging in an input into the box from an external source. I had my phone to rca directly to most box and have the same issue. Whats your situation?

I have the same problem using a Helix M6 DSP amplifier. Loud pop when I shut down the system. I use Dudu7 headunit.

Same problem. 2017 wrangler with the factory Alpine stereo upgrade/amp/sub. Loud pop on start.

Same problem here. Toyota Camry XLE 2005 with JBL amp, Hiworld Canbus.

Duomax RCA to optical audio conversion? There are two ways to do this
1: You can add audio isolators to the RCAs.
2: Add a delay starter on the power supply of the fiber optic decoder box (when the radio starts, delay 2-3 seconds before the fiber optic decoder box works).

        hrtloop Which CANBUS was selected?

dudu-lai Apologies, I should have included this:

I just installed dudu7 yesterday Subaru outback 2017 with OEM Harman kardon amp.and speakers using simple cambus and I am experimenting this exact same problem o happy about getting. This loud pop worry my speakers or amp.could get damaged. Can you share the solution to this .

              4 months later

After DUDOS3.6 update I started having issues, so far the most annoying issue is the pop sound when turning off my vehicle. Before the update the sound worked with no issues.

2015 Sonata Limited with OEM amp (JBL)
IF I move the Car volume to 1, it will not make the pop sound, but then I won't hear anything.

              Any suggestions?

This method may help resolve the popping issue.

Cut the 6-pin cable from the RZ-HYK-64 CANBUS box connector. Connect the 6-pin cable from the CANBUS box to the AMP cable on the DUDU A connector.

                Then upgrade the MCU. DUDU7MCU - https://drive.google.com/file/d/1S9OWl8tIw6fElllTs_M8ott7ZmMSA6AR/view?usp=sharing
