Does this radio have the ability to play blinker chimes and seatbelt warnings?

I’m about to buy this radio. It’s incredible how good of a work the manufacturer has done with the OS. Apart of the amazing screen quality and the amount of customization, there’s no competition in terms of UI maturity. All other infotainments still use buttons from 2012!

That being said, I’m also buying a wiring harness for my car, a brazilian Chevrolet Onix 2018 that comes equipped with a MyLink2 infotainment (LC7S). All warning sounds such as seatbelt, low fuel, blinkers and doors open come from the original radio. The new wiring harness does have a CANBUS box (RAISE branded) but without an external speaker/buzzer. Does this radio have the ability to play those sounds out of the car speakers as the original did?

From what I know, RZ-GM-09 Canbus box that is in the picture will play the sound since it has an internal speaker.

wwest2 No, I mean I still didn’t order it since I don’t know if the harness is long enough. The page says it is compatible with my car but the product images show a shorter lenght harness that what my car needs (the HMI is separated from the screen) :

But looking at the images I wasn’t able to find an opening in the plastic case for a speaker. Does it have a piezoelectric one? If so, I’m sure it sounds like crap…

js997 I think so. Now that you mentione it, I think there will be a hole for the sound to come out on the backside of the canbus box.

Here's the picture of the speaker I was talking about. The owner of the canbus box has connected an additional line to the extra canbus for a better sound.

wwest2 amazing, so it really has a mini speaker inside. However, I don’t really understand whats modified in that image. I see the speaker he removed but what else did he modify to have better sounds?

js997 The white extra connector was added for the extra canbus, especially a Simplesoft GM-SS-04 canbus to change the beep sound. The canbus emits sound through an external speaker that is connected to it.

wwest2 hi! Do you know which cables he welded onto the Raise box? I already have it but the buzzer sounds really cheap. I want to make the same modification but I’m unable to know which cables are needed to be soldered in order to have both boxes working. Thanks!
