I have an issue running map applications in PiP mode. Below are maps I've tried and their issues:
- Google Maps: A lot of the time, it wouldn't be able to detect the location. Navigation wouldn't work as it would just keep waiting for the GPS location.
- Magic Earth: When navigating, instead of pointing up to keep your perspective facing the direction you're going, it would seem like it's keeping North up. Also, panning the map with 1 finger would, instead, zoom in/out (as if you're using 2 fingers).
- Navigation (BYD's built-in map app): UI elements often become very large and the DPI setting is ignored.
- Waze: Wouldn't run in PiP mode.
Note that these issues don't happen if I launch them full screen.
I hope these get fixed in an update.
