  • ADAS Hd DVR problem

Hello,
I purchased a 9.5” Dudu7 and a ADAS HD DVR off of AliExpress. I’m having trouble getting the ADAS to work. The camera works fine. Was chatting with a guy on Mekede’s WhatsApp sales department and then he referred me to their tech support number but I haven’t received a response yet. Figured I’d put this on the forum to see if anyone else has encountered this same issue.

Did you buy "some" ADAS or one of the certified DuDu ADAS camera's. It doesn' t work with any ADAS camera you buy.

surfer63 I purchased what I thought was an Mekede brand ADAS camera. However I’m thinking it’s in fact an older model before the ADAS because it has the older HD DVR apk on the camera and not the one with the ADAS. Just looking for confirmation that that is what I have.

In the app where you are viewing the DVR, find the settings and is there an option to “turn on ADAS”, which requires calibration when turned on.

There is no option for turn on ADAS in my HD DVR app. Which makes me think the camera is not a model that supports ADAS and is in fact not a genuine Mekede camera. I ordered a new camera from the actual Mekede Mall that is the ADAS camera and also ordered a 1080p back up camera. The AliExpress seller sent me a different ADAS app which I’m not going to install. I’m currently fighting with them to get a refund for the camera. The seller is called “Official Mekede Store”

Cheap Chinese DVR cameras do not have built-in hardware for ADAS. All ADAS functions are handled by the app.
If the app you are using is HD DVR, please update it to the latest version from "About" in the settings menu. Many of the DVR apps that are only stored in the mini storage of cheap Chinese DVR cameras do not have ADAS functions until they are updated.

AndrewG DVR app version is low, after networking in program settings - version - detect new version, then update to ADAS version
