  • Volume increase with speed setting

It's working but would be great to have the possibility to set how much volume it increase.
I have set volume gain to low and volume to 1 and at 130km/h it's very loud.
I would like that it increase volume a bit but not that much.
Like for example:
Low adds +2 volume at speed over 100km/h
Medium +4
High +6
Or something like that.
So we could set it by ourselves.

Gwinambele для этой настройки есть разные варианты: низкая, средняя, высокая.
    Вы пробовали все эти варианты?

as i said i tried all and even "low" option with just 1 overall volume makes it to loud at 130km/h

Gwinambele ок. Я понял. Вас не устраивают предустановленные значения.

It's is really loud so you can't even talk with passenger even on low setting.

I have the same experience. I have set it to LOW. However, the volume increase at higher speeds is simply too much. It gets way too loud.
I do not know how the algorithm works behind the volume compensation, but I am afraid it is a very simple linear algorithm: increase with X dB for every Y km faster.
3dB increase/decrease will double or half the volume for the human ear.
So if it is 1 db per 10 km and your drive 30 km faster, it is twice as loud (to the human ear). That is too much.

Built-in units in cars use microphones to constantly measure noise/ambient levelv and compare it with current volume and see if it is in balance to compensate the volume by using noise patterns. I really don' t think the FYT units use the microphone to do this and have this algorithm running all the time (but I could be wrong).
That means they need a good artificial algorithm with a flattening curve that should be adaptable (low/mid/high)

Anyway: I am happy that we at least have low/mid/high as it does help.

It doesn't have to use dB.
It can just increase that volume scale. It's 0-30 I guess. Just less

        2 ways to realize
1: Get the speed from CANBUS, but many old cars can't get it, or CANBUS bus box can't collect the speed information.
2: Get the speed from GPS, but GPS will be affected by the outside world (tunnels, viaducts, high buildings, signal base stations, etc.), so this function is prone to intermittent situations.

so would be perfect if you can implement both methods and let us choose which one to use.

Kind of related question.. I'm sure I've changed a setting somewhere but not sure where. Here is an issue, after a boot up audio volume is low but after about a minute it goes back to normal. It is independ of speed and I turned that option off anyway. Does anyone know what causes this? What needs to be changed?

dudu-lai I would also like to request a way to finetune speed volume. Low used to work well with Spotify but after switching to YT Music which is a bit louder by default, the volume increases too much. A scale from 1 - 10 would be adequate

I experience the same. I have it on Low as medium or high increases the sound too much.
But the volume increase/decrease is different in Radio/NavRadio and my music player and transistor online radio.

@dudu-lai In the FYT settings you can set the output for the different channels. You can for example set the media channel lower than the phone channel or BT channel. Is this volume increase/decrease also based on that?
So if I have my phone channel on a higher level than my media channel, will the increase/decrease of my phone volume be stronger/steeper than for my media channel volume?
            For example: media at 40%, phone at 60% => volume twice as hard, means 2 x 40 and 2 x 60. That's a big difference.
Or does the speed compensation not work like that?

And as feature request: We now have Low, Medium, High. I would prefer a slider from 0 to 100 where Low is at 33, Medium at 50 and Hight at 67. The reason for this is that I still consider Low a bit too much, so I could drag the slider down from 33 to 25 (or so).
