  • [FEATURE REQUEST] Expand task manager to react on Bluetooth connection events

The Dudu task manager is developing into a very handy and convenient tool.
But currently the DuDu task manager can' t (re)act on Bluetooth events when a certain device gets connected.
I think that a lot of users (including myself 😉 ) could use this.
It should also be able to select the earlier connected device, like " my phone", " my wife's phone", " my sons phone", so that a different action/start of program can happen for several persons.
Examples when you connect your:

  1. phone: Start the media player or radio or local media player in Bluetooth mode.*
  2. phone: Start Car link for use with Android Auto or Car play **
  3. OBD-dongle: Start Car info or a specific installed OBD app

More examples can be easily added

*: My wife would like to start the media player. I would like to start the radio
** : My son would like to start Carlink as soon as his (Android) phone connects. You can auto-start Carlink as your unit starts, but that is not what I want and what my wife wants.

Of course all actions can be started manually via the navbar or via the apps-widget or via the "all apps" screen. This feature request is really a "nice to have" and very convenient, but not high-priority.

Thank you for your suggestion, surfer63! Your feedback is very valuable to us. Expanding the capabilities of planned tasks in Dudu Task Manager can indeed make it more convenient and powerful. We appreciate your detailed examples and use cases, which help us understand how users like yourself could benefit from enhanced Bluetooth event handling features.

Once we complete our top priority development tasks, we will definitely consider incorporating these additional functionalities into DUDUOS to improve user experience. Your input is crucial in guiding the future direction of our product enhancements.
