  • Microphone echo on DUDU7

I'm having a problem using the Medkede supplied external mic. My voice comes through clearly, but the other party hears a very noticeable echo/reverb when they speak. Reducing my speaker volume helps slightly but does not fix the issue.

I'm not able to find any mic settings in DUDU7. Are there mic gain or noise cancellation settings that I've missed? Can I switch to the internal mic without opening my dash to remove the external mic?

-DuduOS 3.5
-Mic mounted to B pillar to the left of my head
-Issue happens when stationary or driving
-Issue repeatable within Google Voice, WhatsApp, and Messenger

hrtloop Does it echo without an external microphone?
    DUDU7 has a built-in microphone!

I haven't tried that yet. I just spent an hour fitting the dash back together, so I was hoping to troubleshoot without ripping it apart again.

I have the same problem. Internal as external microphone. Callers hear echo of own voice.
      Major Problem.

        Same thing for me.

Does the car have an AMP?

I do have an amp, yes. Vehicle is a 2017 Jeep Wrangler with factory Alpine speaker/sub upgrade.

I've now tried both the included external mic as well as the internal mic. In both cases the caller can hear their voice echoing. I can minimize this by turning my speakers way down, but this isn't feasible when driving due to road noise.

hrtloop This should be an echo caused by the delay of the amplifier returning to the pickups

Is there any solution for this?

We're trying to figure out how to recreate such a test environment, and so far we've got some ideas

            Are there any microphone settings?

How do I switch from internal microphone to external microphone?

The Joying has an echo adjustment, noise cancellation adjustment, etc.

Please tell us the make and model of your car

All those problems just occur with the external mic.
DUDU7 has no settings. It has a digital mic that sets noise canceling and volume automatically.
Try with the internal mic it is really good.
The internal mic gets turned off when you plug in the external mic.

I have dudu7 installed in my outlander 2014 with rockford fosgate amplifier. The caller can only hear me if I yell in to the mic. I tried the external mic and the built-in, but no difference. The caller complains about an echo that is way harder than they hear me speaking. Is it possible to amplify the external mic? maybe just increase the power with 0.1V? This won't solve the echo, but it may help to gain the mic input...

Is there any update on this problem?

DUDU make a mic setting page for us to adjust the mic settings!!!

DUDU-Meng Jeep Wrangler 2017 with factory Alpine speaker package (speakers, amp, sub).

              I got it. Thank you.

Our bluetooth engineers need to find the same model to debug, not sure how long

If I can help with testing in any way, let me know.
