USB music file/folder storage limits, and drive formatting?

limits are determined by the file system in combination with the size of the USB-stick. You can simply search for this on the internet.
exFAT and FAT32 are read-write. NTFS can't be read at all. EXT2/3/4 can be read-write but not for flashing.
FAT32 is still the most compatible one.
FYT Android 13 (dudu7 only) flash partitions are erofs.

DUDU7 is able to read my extFAT SDCard with 128 GB. But Android-Apps can only access it, when it is USB1 in DUDU which is the cable with only one USB port. If connected to the USB port named USB1 of the cable withd two USB ports, then it is named USB3 in DUDU and Android-Apps (Poweramp) are not working with it. When connecting it to the same cable on the port named USB2 it should be visible in DUDU as USB4 but I don't see it.
If connecting to an USB Hub then it is listed in DUDU as USB5.

In combination with the DUDU DVR which also wants USB1 I am not able to make them work both at the same time.

And FAT32 is limited to 32GB and 4GB file size.

Are you saying that when using fat32 and USB1 ypu are still limited to a 32gb drive size? Specially for Android apps use case, such as PowerAmp or Tidal. Or that regardless of the use case, the dudu cannot see a FAT32 drive on USB1 larger than 32gb?

No, thats a windows thing. If you can use a 3rd party application, such as Partition Magic (very old school) to make FAT32 disk sizes larger than 32gb.

Yup I have a 1TB usb drive with lots of retro games, installed Daijisho front end and emulators on dudu7. Dudu7 reads the games perfectly and plays from old 8bit up to PS2 (some not all), and no I don't play mario kart while driving!!, but I do spend a lot of time waiting around while travelling, and one does like to have something to pass the time, also have my IPTV service installed

How about for a USB flash drive? Independent power supply is only for larger sdd or hdd, correct?
