Does the air conditioner show C? Or is the weather on the desktop?
I have a similar issue. How do I change the temperature on the status bar on the top ight corner of the screen and in the weather widget on the desktop to read in Fahrenheit instead of Celsius?
I think they are speaking in regards to the external bluetooth temperature sensor. Mine will only read in Celsius on the dudu7 unit
No, @badwhip is speaking about the several temperatures as received by the CANbus decoder: Air conditioning temperatures, internal temperature, external temperature.
@Pseudonym531 is talking about the CANbus widget AND the weather widget, which is an internet based widget.
Is there a workaround for having the external bluetooth temperature sensor to read in Fahrenheit?
Thanks so much for all your work so far and for including this in your plans. I just want to bump this thread to see if there has been any progress. I'm running DUDU 3.5 on DUDU7 and don't have this option. When I attempt to switch from C to F in the CANbus settings, it doesn't save. If I change pages and go back to the CANbus settings page, it shows C selected no matter how many times I change it to F.
Thanks!
Bumping this thread!
Any luck on a fix?
same here, when i switch from c to f on the canbus settings it does not save. goes back to Celsius. any update or fix to this, i have the feeling we would need to go into developer mode here!
I asked the customer help line about this very thing and this is what I was told:
Go to SETTINGS (i think he meant SETUP)
Then select OTHER
Then select MODE
There will be 2 settings for MODE, NOVICE and EXPERT
Select EXPERT.
Now this is where I got lost........
He says once in EXPERT mode, you should be able to access additional settings which includes the option to change C to F.
He showed me this picture
He said if you select HOME, then WIDGET, then OTHER you will find the setting.
Only problem on my head unit, dudu7, I did not have WIDGET or PIP show up in the selections.
It seems to me I stumbled across it under CANBUS, I can't remember, but when I selected F, it kept flipping back to C and would not stay locked in. (By the way, the password for Factory Settings is 108)
I don't know if this will help anyone or not. If someone else figures this out, let me know.
I don't like the military time (24) clock on the status bar either, but I am positive I won't be able to figure out if you can change that to 12 hour format or not. Not sure why these are not easier things to change.
zeke1883 upgrade to latest beta OS, see first post on main forum board for directions. The UI is 100x better compared to a year ago, it's been changing a lot lately but constant improvements are making it easier to navigate the system. You can also change the clock format as well, but have patience when doing that because it will require some reading.
