Hi
I have bought BT led ambient light.
It's some no name device from AliExpress.
It is working with their app.
When I try to connect it with Dudu it shows up in BT devices list but when I try to turn it on/off it says "device not connected".
I can't control it with Dudu.
Any advice?

Devices brands listed in the menu are the only ones that can be used unfortunately at the moment.

I had a strip that used the Zengge app and worked fine with the app, but had the same issue as you where it shows up but not recognised.

I later purchased one which uses the DuoCo app, and those integrate with the DudOS. Links below to the ones that work

I also initially had problems with the connection or controlling the ambient lighting. I have ambient lighting from Aliexpress that can be controlled with Lotus Lantern or Magic Lantern. The radio saw the luetooth controller, but could not establish a connection. The following solution ended up working for me. I changed the sys.fyt.bluetooth_type= connection from 0 to 7 in the settings.txt. After that I was able to successfully connect the lighting to the radio and it works with it. Where is that file?
Also do I need root or something?
And most important is it safe to change it?

Gwinambele he meant to update it in config.txt.

Add "sys.fyt.bluetooth_type=7" line in the config.txt file
Put this file on the root directory of the usb flash drive along with lsec6318update file (you can download latest firmware zip to get this file - it triggers the update proccess)
Only config file will be updated but I'm not sure if that won't trigger the adaptation process (which occurs after the first boot).

I don't wanna mess with system files.
