[1] When starting the car with remote start, the radio does not power on until I enter the car and hit the car start button. Once that is completed the HU will boot up but will not output sound. Rebooting the head unit does not resolve the problem. Not until the car is shut off and started again in normal fashion will the HU sound play again.

[2] Dudu7 operating on latest beta OS. Will update this post with required screenshots once I'm back in the car.

Anyone else experience this?

picasso1850 I just received a remote start module for my Corolla Hybrid 2019 and I will install it tomorrow or the day after tomorrow. I will return with some feedback.

Factory remote starter for me, not aftermarket. Good luck with your install!

picasso1850 Do you have a factory amplifier?

      PatrykWaw I do.

picasso1850 It seems to me that when you start the car remotely the audio is not powered. You press the start button and start the DUDU but the digital signal that would start the amplifier is missing. What kind of car do you have?

          PatrykWaw Jeep Grand Cherokee

Car AMP not working or signal lost

dudu-lai signal lost when being sent to the canbus? I do not think the factory amp & sub are broken but how to test?

              picasso1850
If you have extra horns, that's very good to test.
Just plug the separate horn into FR+FR- and start the vehicle as before. If there is sound from the separate speakers but not from the car stereo, then the AMP is not working, and if there is no sound from the separate speakers either, then it is related to DUDU7

                dudu-lai amp works fine

Have the methods I described above been tested?

Reinstalling the factory radio resolves the problem.

If remote start with factory radio - radio sounds work
If remote start with dudu7, no radio sounds.

I will only have this car for another year so I don't care too much if the remote start function is bugged with the dudu7. you can close this bug report

                4 days later

Interesting twist, sounds are working again with remote start and dudu7.

I will try to test if the issue was related to the device being in shut off vs sleep mode prior to remote start engagement. If the sounds do not engage after complete shut down and remote start I'll update this post accordingly.

just an FYI - Cold boot of HU from 3 days being off did not recreate problem but the problem did crop up again today while using the remote start feature.

I have yet to figure out the trigger but I know if I do not hear the HU 'audio pop' (assuming this happens because of amp power switch) when pressing the run button after using the remote starter feature that I wont have any HU sounds until i power off car / power back on..

                a month later

I'm noticing this same issue on my 2017 Jeep Wrangler running DUDU7 3.5. Remote start does not power up headunit. Once I get in and turn the key after remote start, headunit powers on, but sometimes (not every time) there's no sound. I also do not hear the typical amp/sub pop. I can fix the issue by turning the vehicle off and restarting.

This was not an problem with the stock headunit. I'm wondering if the problem is related to the factory upgraded Alpine audio with amp and sub in my vehicle.
