Dark UI in Daytime mode

You must select dark mode and leave the unit on the dark mode. When you turn on the lights (or the car turns them on, if you have light sensor) if everything is connected properly, the screen will dim the brightness to the one set in the day/night settings.

Indeed, it is a bit confusing that the unit will change the brightness according to the lights on/off but this is how it works.

I think I finally got it, thanks.
The last thing that still isn't perfect for me is that the extreme dark mode will be always on this way if I want to use it.

Nolex The extremely dark mode should be active only in night mode (lights on). I don't use it so I cannot help you here. Check the level of brightness you have set for the day mode (second picture on my last post).

I have set dark theme for both default and night. I also set to change it with sunrise/sunset. Brightness change (with extreme dark) is working OK but ui stays white at day and dark at night. I want both to be dark.
How to do it with sunset/sunrise setting?

Gwinambele I don't think this is possible with the sunrise/sunset settings. I don't use it so I cannot help you here. Maybe others would be able to help you.

Even if I choose. Car light control, during day ui us white even though I choose dark as a default and night theme..

I just want the ui dark all the time and screen brightness Lower during night. (I have to use extreme dark mode cause even if I set 0 in night setting it's still to bright).

Gwinambele Just read the posts above and check the links with videos there. Select manual change and leave it on dark mode. When you'll turn on the lights the brightness will dim and when you'll have them off the brightness will increase. This way you'll have dark UI for settings and apps. Yeah but when I want listen music with engine and lights off it will be to bright. With sunset and sundown it's dimming like I want. But ui is in white mode. That setting are kinda useless at this moment.

OK i can live with white UI during day but i have one suggestion:
Im using sunset/sunrise switch setting.
its working as intended. It dim screen when there is sunset (taking info from GPS).
BUT
Even though there is sunset according to GPS there is still bright outside.
It would be great if we could set delay. (for example 15 min)
So Unit take time of sunset from GPS and delay dimming for 15 min.

Gwinambele Man, if you use the method above you won't have white UI. And the screen will get even more darker when you turn on the lights. You must enable manual mode and leave it manual mode. Even if it's in manual mode the brightness of the dark UI will change according to the lights. Lighter or darker. But you'll have always dark UI.

Wouldn't it be better if Dudu always started in night mode and then adjusted itself according to the specified sensor?

Bettman66 Yes it would. But this is the only working method at the moment. Maybe in the future we will see some changes. This depends only on devs.

This should be an option to be chosen by the user somewhere in the settings (and maybe even during the install wizard).
I use my car 90% in daylight. I definitely do not want an "always start in dark mode".
I really love the light mode.

I don't want to use car light as a trigger because in my country I have to drive with light all the time. So that's useless to me. That's why sunswt/sunrise is perfect. I just need 15 min delay.

Is extreme dark mode available on FYT7862s with latest Dudu OS 3.5 installed? Could not find it in day/night menu.

I can't get this working correctly on a Dudu7 with version 3.5. I have it in manual mode with day brightness set to 100% and night brightness set to 0%. The brightness does adjust with the light switch but the change is barely noticable, it's way too bright at night. If I enable extreme dark mode that applies no matter what state the light switch is in: it still changes but only barely and now it's way too dim during the day.

Has something changed in 3.5 to break this?
