Has anyone in America figured out how to get a SIM to work in a DUDU 7? If so, what carrier, what card?

I'm still rocking the mobile hotspot. Don't really want to pay for a new data plan but more importantly the major US carriers have told me the device won't work here due to the lack of LTE bands.

This vendor suggested that it would work on their darkstar and light speed networks but I haven't put the effort in to signing up to see if thats accurate.

Well, I answered my own question.
Today I got a SIM from Verizon, added it to my existing plan, and plugged it in to my DUDU7 and it worked without issues. The only thing I had to do after installing the SIM was do a software reboot, after which it showed in the status bar and worked immediately. No APN configuration was necessary. We went this route because the head unit is installed in an rv and we wanted it to have connection for monitoring systems when we leave the vehicle. Hope this is useful to anyone considering the same in America. Thanks.

jsmith-steris what speeds are you seeing with the Verizon SIM?

jsmith-steris how did you get verizon to give you a sim without an imei #? To my understanding the imei is the fingerprint of the device that will be used. If no imei then they dont know what they are connecting to. I spent about 2 hours on the phone with them and they couldnt get pass the imei part cause they have no way of seeing the device and adding it. I wonder if i gave them an imei # from a different tablet if that could work but then again it would be that device specific device i think. T mobile was willing to give me a 4g card but verizon is my cell and fios provider so id get a cheaper price for adding a device with unlimited data.

Also if i may ask… do you have verizon cell phone or home internet plan with them? Where they able to add to that for a discount? What are you paying for how much data? Thank you in advance. 🤝🍻
