I am trying to figure out if I can retail the Onstar capabilities on a GM truck when replacing the factory headunit with a Dudu7. The truck had the Bose and OnStar systems from the factory. I already bypassed the Bose amp for an after market amp, however I still get the Onstar capabilities (remote lock, remote start, remote diagnostics) via the myChevy app, plus the 4g access point and the phone. I don't care too much for the phone or access point since those are replaced by the Dudu7/Android unit, but the remote access control is very valuable to me. Can i retail this by leaving the module in the dash? or is this an integrated part of the "sound system" like the CD player seems to be (nothing works unless it is plugged in). Any help or suggestions appreciated.
