Hello, I have an audio problem with my DuDu7. When I hear the new DriveCast function with Blitzer.de, which usually runs for more than 60 seconds, the active media player is interrupted correctly. However, after exactly 60 seconds, the player switches on again and I hear both sounds.

Yes, I use Audials, Dabdream, and the built-in radio app. You can switch between them easily without another player interfering.
I suspect the Blitzer.de app broadcasts via the navigation channel, and the system is likely set to a maximum duration of 60 seconds for that.
But that’s just a guess on my part.

hallotri I have found the reason. This is a set of logic for the navigation channel to prevent errors and correct them. The time is set to 60 seconds.
In order to prevent the navigation APP from occupying the navigation channel mixing for a long time and causing the music to not play properly or be silent, this logic will be forcibly released 60 seconds after the navigation sound grabs the focus.
Do you want to cancel this error prevention logic now or increase the delay time?

Hello, I have now turned on the support of Blitzer.de. They say that DriveCast broadcasts on the normal media channel and not on the navigation channel. I did extensive tests again and found that DriveCast doesn't interrupt the other media apps at all, but only mixes them quieter until they are mixed louder after 60 seconds. It seems to me that DriveCast has no permission to interrupt the other apps. That would probably be an audio focus problem after all. As I said, I have an Xtrons head unit where it works. Even with my wife's head unit, a cheap China device, it works. So the fault will be with the DuDu7 device.
Please be sure to fix the error.

As already mentioned, I contacted Blitzer.de support. The speed camera warnings and DriveCast are 2 different applications, but they run together in one app.
Here is the answer from the Blitzer.de team.

"Hello Jan,

please excuse the late response, and thank you for putting so much thought into it!

I can give the all-clear right away: DriveCast actually already uses exactly this normal media channel. It behaves like a normal music or podcast app – i.e. via the same way as Spotify. Only the speed camera warnings themselves run via the navigation or telephone channel. So DriveCast sends its sound exactly where your music is playing, so everyone in the car can listen in."

Your observation with Audials and DABDream is a great hint. On Android, this works according to the principle of "one asks, the other makes way": As soon as DriveCast starts a post, it asks the currently running app to step back briefly.

I got this answer from Blitzer.de today.

After that I did a few tests on the Xtrons and the DuDu7.
Xtrons: While a podcast is running in Audials.
Blitzer.de an announcement starts, the podcast is lowered and runs parallel to the
Announcement from Blitzer.de. So it's okay
DriveCast in Blitzer.de starts an announcement, the podcast is interrupted and starts
automatically continues after the announcement. So it's okay

DuDu7: While a podcast is running in Audials.
Blitzer.de an announcement starts, the podcast is lowered and runs parallel to the
Announcement from Blitzer.de continues. So it's okay
DriveCast in Blitzer.de starts an announcement, the podcast is lowered and runs
parallel to the announcement of Blitzer.de. But it should be interrupted here
and then keep playing!

So this is definitely an audio focus issue that should be fixed urgently! Since it works on other Chinese devices, it can only be due to the DuDu!

DUDUOS has a mixing function, which forces the navigation APP to be defined as a navigation channel. It can mix with media sounds, lower the music volume when broadcasting, etc. Now the new version has set the error prevention and correction time to 2 minutes. Still can’t solve your problem?
If so, you can try turning off the mixing function in Settings-Sound-Mixing.
Both the DUDUAUTO and FYT teams believe that most navigation apps do not use the continuous 2-minute broadcast function.

The problem still exists. I have to emphasize again, DriveCast is an informational podcast embedded in Blitzer.de and not a navigation application! One podcast application should be able to stop another podcast application! This is called AudioFokus. This works with other Chinese devices, but not with the DuDu!
If I turn off the mixing function, no sound comes out of the speakers during the announcement. There are practically 2 podcasts running in parallel, but you don't hear anything.

Correcting this issue is pointless. Blitzer.de is defined as a navigation app in the DUDUOS system, so any sound emitted by this app is played through the navigation audio channel, not the media channel. Even if you embed a music player within the navigation app, it will still play music through the navigation channel, causing serious problems.

On phones or tablets, this shouldn't be an issue because phones and tablets don't have separate navigation audio channels. On phones and tablets, Blitzer.de is treated as a media app.

May I ask if the problem you mentioned still exists, that the increase to 2 minutes is still not enough, or do you want to directly cancel this time limit?
If you want to remove the restriction, this needs to be evaluated, or a switch option can be made
