Which cable is for the remote?

Hi everyone and the Dudu team,

I'm currently installing my amplifier (Audison SR 4.500). And now I'm wondering which cable I should use for the remote?

The AMP control wire? I'm asking because I'm only getting about 10.5V on the cable. And I thought it was supposed to supply 12V

Can someone explain this to me?

The remote/controle cable is not actually for the remote, but simply a signal for your AMP that it has to turn on and doesn't waste battery. Or in other words: The control wire has power when you turn your car keys, and 0v when you remove your keys.

As your DSP has an automatic mode, you don't necessarily need it, although it's preferred if you do (Connect "amp control wire" from the radio with "REM IN" from your DSP). The REM OUT signal of your DSP is for your subwoofer, if you've got one.

@Fastback Thank you for your reply. I am aware that this cable only sends a signal to turn on the amplifier. But all my other head units, like Pioneer, Kenwood, etc., output 12V on the remote cable. Therefore, I was surprised that Dudu7 only outputs 10.5.

@dudu-lai I used exactly this cable. But when the radio is on, the cable only supplies 10.5V.

Have you read the amplifier's manual? It's clearly stated: "remote in" voltage 6.5 - 15V 1mA. Surely 10.5V is sufficient.
