I also have a USB device for DAB radio and I use the DABdream app as well, but it is truly frustrating having to open the app every time the car starts. All apps with automatic startup work poorly on DUDU: they do not start audio playback on their own, even though I have enabled auto-start.
I had to create a dedicated app using Tasker that launches the app for 2 seconds and then sends it to the background, and it started working. However, during short stops and restarts (for example a 2-minute stop), when the car starts again the app runs but audio playback does not resume. In that case, the only way is to change the station forward and backward to get the audio to start.
I noticed that this does not happen if the app is killed and then reopened after a short sleep. So I created another app that does the same as before but also kills and reopens the app. Unfortunately, DUDU does not allow me to kill apps, even though I have granted all system permissions to my app.
None of this happens if I use the original DUDU radio app, but I do not want to give up DAB+, which is clearly superior. I understand that DAB+ does not exist in China, but if you sell a device in European countries, you should adapt it to their standards (all Chinese-import cars are equipped with DAB+).
