Hi everyone,I’m looking for some help installing a third‑party Android head unit (Dudu 7) in a 5th gen Toyota 4Runner and I’m running into a few problems.CANBUS / wiring issuesSome CANBUS functions work: when I open a door the unit shows it on the screen, and when I change the A/C temperature it also shows correctly. Other things don’t work as expected, so I suspect either the CANBUS box, the harness, or the CAN settings in the unit are wrong. Does anyone know the correct CANBUS profile / settings for a 5th gen 4Runner with a Dudu 7, or have a wiring diagram that matches this unit? Reverse camera issueWhen I put the car in reverse, the screen switches to reverse mode, but there is no image (black screen / no signal). It looks like the unit is seeing the reverse trigger, but the video signal from the camera is not getting through or the camera is not powered correctly. For those who have done this on a 5th gen 4Runner😃id you power the reverse camera from the reverse light or from the head unit camera power lead?Which RCA input and which “reverse” wire did you end up using on the Dudu 7 harness? Plastic frame / trim fitmentThe replacement plastic frame that came with the Dudu 7 seems slightly too big. It won’t fit properly with the two plastic side covers that sit around the A/C controls on the 4Runner. Has anyone installed a Dudu 7 (or similar vertical screen) in a 5th gen 4Runner and can confirm what dash kit or trim modifications were needed to get everything to fit and look OEM‑ish? Links to a compatible dash kit or photos would be very helpful. If anyone has:A step‑by‑step guide or YouTube link specifically for a Dudu 7 in a 5th gen 4Runner, or Your own notes / photos of a successful install (especially showing CANBUS connections, reverse camera wiring, and which plastic frame you used),please share them. Thanks in advance for any help or pointers!
