Record from rear camera while driving

Am I correct in understanding that recording to USB works only while the vehicle is moving?
Which file system format should the USB drive be formatted in for recording?

SPOL2706 you can start auto recording when starting the car by creating a trigger to record camera once ignition is turned on. fat32 or xfat

Dears,
just bought a Dudu 7 (8 GB RAM), running 260210. Also installed dudu rear camera (662) and have the same issue as @bodudek . I've set-up a task to start DVR app as soon as I turn-on unit. It works, DVR opens, but doesn't start recording. Nothing happens. I have to manually tap on record button.

Any advise?

You can update the DVR firmware to version V23 and then format the memory card and try again to see if this problem can be solved.

DUDU-Meng Hello again. I've copied both .rar and .bin in a usb drive, root folder. Opened with "files" app, rebooted system with usb drive connected... no success.

Can you please provide instructions?

ferryBCN If your current firmware version is V21 or higher, it can be directly upgraded. If it is lower than V21, you need to rename the file and change the first letter D to U before it can be recognized.
After upgrading with prefix U, you need to manually delete the files, otherwise the upgrade will be repeated after power-on.
The upgrade file will be automatically deleted after the prefix D is upgraded (only supported after version V21)
Please take photos of the current DVR firmware version and APP version and upload them here

If you use a front and rear dual recording recorder and it does not record automatically when you turn it on, you can update the test system and give it a try. This recording function theoretically remembers the last operation. As long as you clicked record last time and did not click cancel, it will automatically record the video next time you turn it on.
I will send you a private message to the latest version. You can test this function after upgrading. It is recommended that you clear the data of this APP after upgrading.
