I’m having problems with CANBUS communication on my Ford Transit Connect 2014 with factory Sync1 system after installing an Android head unit, and I’m hoping someone here has experience with this issue.
Vehicle:
- Ford Transit Connect 2014
- Multimedia version: Ford Sync1
Canbus adapter:
- Raise Ford-RZ-10
- Version printed on the module: 21.11.01
Problem description:
Some CANBUS signals are not working at all, while others work normally.
❌ Not working signals:
- Wheel position
- Turn signals
- Reverse signal
- Headlights
✅ Working signals:
- Steering wheel controls (SWC)
- Door opening status
- ACC
Everything is wired correctly and checked multiple times. The head unit powers on normally and SWC and door sensor appear instantly on the screen, so CANBUS is partially working.
I have also tried different vehicle models in the head unit CANBUS settings. It looks like most Ford mid / high configuration profiles behave similarly — SWC and door opening are working, but the signals listed above still do not appear.
When selecting Ford "Low" model in CANBUS settings, even doors and SWC stop working, so I am currently using a mid/high profile because it gives partial functionality.

I first contacted Raise support via WhatsApp. They mentioned that my CANBUS adapter version might be too old and that it may not be upgradable to the latest firmware. They suggested replacing the CANBUS module with a newer version.
After that, I contacted Mekede sales on AliExpress to ask if they could sell me a newer CANBUS adapter. They requested more details about the problem and said they needed help from DuduAuto engineers to confirm compatibility. Because of this, we agreed that I should create this support post on this forum for further technical assistance and confirmation.
Questions:
- Which Ford CANBUS model setting should I select so that turn signals, reverse gear, headlights, and wheel position work correctly with Raise Ford-RZ-10 on Transit Connect 2014?
- Is the Raise Ford-RZ-10 too old or not compatible with this vehicle?
- Is there a newer Raise CANBUS adapter that fully supports Transit Connect 2014 (Sync1)?
- Would another CANBUS adapter, such as SimpleSoft FD-SS-05A, work better with this vehicle and DuduAuto head unit?
- Has anyone fixed this problem by using a different CANBUS adapter? If yes, which one?
