Microphone issue

Hello, I’m hoping somebody can help I’m having issues with the microphone not working or at least it is but very bad. I’ve tried the external mic that plugs in and I’ve also tried without the external mic plugged in. Is there a setting somewhere that I’m missing to turn up the gain etc, it’s the same for CarPlay aswell as bluetooth.

Has the microphone been unusable since purchase?
Both the built-in and external microphones are inoperable?
You can test the microphone by entering 000.= on the calculator.
