Resolution issue is from CarLink 2.0 app and not from DuduOS

Let me explain this to both of you.
CarLink is merely a surface-level app.
It relies on the system's built-in CarPlay SDK and certain authorized communication protocols to function.
If you don't believe me, try installing CarLink on other Android devices and see if it works properly.
As I mentioned, the CarPlay SDKs in these two firmware versions are different. Additionally, the 1101 version modified the steering wheel button logic based on the 1020 version.

DUDU-Meng You are confusing two completely different versions. DUDUOS and Carlink. Don't confuse it in order to proceed with the discussion correctly.

The DUDUOS v20251101 you are referring to already has an outdated Carlink version for us, 2.25.0926.1708.

The latest Carlink we have available now is 2.25.1020.0906. Please discuss with us about this newer version.

If you don't understand the differences, you can discuss it with another employee or engineer who can understand it.

In addition to the above: Could you tell us why you stick to DuduOS v251101? As @HAccord8 has already mentioned, there is v251104. And in your theory, this should also have the identical buildin Carlink version, so like the v251103 you mentioned, the DUDUOS version should not matter. For @HAccord8 , it will be "downgraded" from v251104 to v251101.

I understood that. As you said, I know that Carlink is just a superficial app. Because the same version of Carlink has no issue with another head unit kernel (the one for the original FYT7862 from the seller, not DuduOS).

@HAccord8 If you have time, Could you capture the ylog of one or both of the following combinations and provide it to them?

・DuduOS v20251104 with Carlink 2.25.1020.0906
・DuduOS v20251104 with Carlink 2.25.0926.1708

I'm away from DuduOS now, so I can't provide it right away.

System firmware dated November 2025 or later is compatible. If the steering wheel remains inoperable after installation, please capture the ylog using the latest system.

DUDU-Meng it is not only steering wheel control the whole system stops communication with CarLink 2.0 app version 2.25.1020.0906. The audio does not work either when device wakes up from standby but that version fix the resolution issue.

The CarLink 2.0 app version 2.25.0926.1708 that come preinstalled with DuduOS version 221104 or 221101 have the resolution issue but does not have losing communication issue.

Please don't get yourself confused with CarLink 2.0 version or DuduOS version.

I am saying it again the CarLink 2.0 version 2.25.1020.0906 i found on dudu forums fixes the resolution issue but introduces more issue i mentioned above.

Again the resolution issue is not coming from DuduOS but coming from CarLink app

Unfortunately, even with CarPlay version 2.25.1020.0906 which breaks steering wheel controls like next, back and play/pause and audio. Mostly all things that interact with CarPlay after the device wakes up from standby, the resolution issue was still there. My previous test did not cause it but today when i installed again to capture ylog the issue resolution issue presisted. So i think the issue is from DuduOS and not CarLink2.0 app. I know this going to confuse mod more and he will say something random out of the blue but i am not sure what to do to provide feedback on the resolution issue anymore

DUDUOS 2025 1104 and carlink 2.25.0926—does this ylog include the issue where SWC cannot control CarPlay to switch songs?

HAccord8 Please confirm whether you pressed the steering wheel's song-switching buttons in this YLog.
The log clearly shows you only pressed the volume +/– and Home buttons.

@DUDU-Meng with all the effort and time i put in into this. Can you please raise a bug fix for the developer to fix the resolution issue with CarLink 2.0 running without DuduOS navigation bar.

Both I and @Saburo have tested your recommendation even with the version you provided 251101 and the version i found 251104 the resolution issue is present.

DUDU-Meng yes it does. SWC doesn't control the carplay previous/next or play-pause commands and sometimes no audio either. This only happens when device wakes up from sleep mode - to fix this a restart is required.

Anyway, like i mentioned the screen resolution issue happens with either version of CarLink app version, which is the main issue here. I can keep using version 2.25.0926.1708 which does nkt have the issue with SWC.

Again, the main issue is the screen resolution issue here when the CarLink app is used without navigation bar caused by DuduOS. Please pass this feedback to the developer

DUDU-Meng yes I pressed the song switching buttons and not the volume buttons. Can we please stop and focus on the real issue which is the screen resolution issue with CarLink 2.0 and DuduOS

We both @Saburo and I tested DuduOS version 251104 and 251101 and the issue is still there, can you please give feedback on the screen resolution and stop investigating the buttons feedback because buttons feedback is fine with other CarLink version

The black border issue is currently under investigation. Regarding the steering wheel track-changing issue, it hasn't been reproduced on either the 7862 or 7870 models. Are you using CAN bus buttons, or buttons programmed via the steering wheel button learning function? If using custom buttons, please specify: - A combination key for track-changing + answering/ending calls, - Or a dedicated track-changing key?

DUDU-Meng thank you for raising that border issue with CarLink 2.0 app.

Well i am using Steering Wheel buttons connected directly to key1 and key2 wires no canbus involved and i programmed through DuduOS settings and the buttons all work with radio and local music but the changing buttons or call buttons that needs to interact with CarLink stops reacting just with CarLink app, this is fixed when device is restarted and breaks again when device goes in sleep and wake up.

Also, the CarLink version 2.25.0926.1708 which is older version does not have such steering wheel control issues at all, even if the device wakes up from sleep the buttons works find and i will continue to use this version as it is good.

So that steering wheel control issue is just with CarLink version 2.25.1020.0906

Using the same version for testing, the 1020 can also be controlled normally via the learning-type SWC for playback.
Additionally, I had previously asked whether you had tried both types of song-change buttons.

Here's the video of using SWC on 1020. Please review it and point out any differences you notice on your end. I'll follow up accordingly. Thank you.

If you could replicate. maybe pass it onto fyt, i think they are the developers of of CarLink 2.0 and also feedback that previous CarLink version 2.25.0926.1708 did not have this issue while newer version CarLink 2.25.1020.0906 have this issue.
