  • Bluetooth Tethering from phone to Headunit

The bluetooth tethering option wich is a normal option keeps a problem in all fyt and non fyt headunits.
I don't understand why it is so difficult to implement that correct. because it is normal when you have a mobile phone with data abbo you have connected already to call handsfree that you can enable Bluetooth tethering on the phone to headunit so the headunit can use the data of the mobile wich is very common accross all over the world.

Arjen

The main reason here is because of the call of two Bluetooth modules, one is used to receive, one is used to send, the function is not the same, the working mechanism will be different from the mobile phone, but we will also continue to provide such feedback with FYT!

Any news about bluetooth tethering from phone to dudu7.
I am waiting for a solution where android auto can work next to tethering to headunit else the headunit makes no sense except the screen.

    Regards Arjen.

At this momemt i have a work around througt:

Settings, Other, Laboratory, Timer where i set my phone hotspot in wifi settings "where i enable my wifi hotspot on phone through macrodroid" android auto will then be connected back through USB because the automatic hotspot wich will be enabled through carlink will disabled.

i,am testing further to make it work i hope.

      New developments with tethering !!!!
      What i did:
I reset Android auto on my phone and empty the saved data from it, and on the HeadUnit (Dudu7 in my case) i removed my phone and paired again i have suddenly had qualcomm aptx audio instead of HD which i had not.
If i use not carlink no auto start option in carlink then bluetooth tethering also works great. Next to it i use macrodroid to activate hotspot on my phone when it is connected through bluetooth with the dudu7 HeadUnit wich give me the ability to use internet radio, tv, Netflix and so on.
In my case i use TomTom Go on the headscreen automatic started and Tunein radio as default Music app which works great so i don,t need Android auto/carlink.

I hope this will help others.

Yes, I do the same with Tasker. Once the phone is connected with the android head unit via Bluetooth it starts an WIFI hotspot. Moreover I mute my phone's mic in order to not have 2 Google assistants reacting.

I hope this Tasker tutorial helps some fellow Dudu users:
