USB-C cable with CarPlay

When I initially installed my DUDU7 stereo I tried connecting my iPhone (iPhone 13 with Lightening port) to the USB-C port on the stereo, but this didn't function. Now I have an iPhone 17 with USB-C port, and several DUDUOS updates have ben release, and I'm wondering if anyone is successfully using CarPlay via the DUDU stereo USB-C port?

I'm also wondering if CarPlay/Android Auto works with USB-C port? I've ordered a 2m USB-C cable and would like to use with CarPlay/Android auto. One thing I can confirm is that USB-C port support "Quick Charge" feature, it worked on my Xiaomi phone.
