Hi everyone,
I’m considering buying the DUDUAUTO DUDU7, but before I make the switch I need some precise technical confirmations, especially regarding Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and USB/ADB, because my setup relies heavily on connectivity.
✅ Current situation
I currently have an Android head unit based on the UIS8581 platform.
It works, but it is heavily restricted on Bluetooth/BLE and USB OTG (no ADB, no SPP, etc).
Because of these limitations:
BLE OBD2 adapters will not connect
Simple Chinese LED Bluetooth controllers are not detected
No ADB → no proper tactile mirroring
Some 12V Wi-Fi dashcams refuse connection (but USB-powered “smartphone type” dashcams work fine)
Before I invest in the DUDU7, I need to know if these restrictions are not present on this model.
❓ Technical questions (real-world compatibility)
1️⃣ Bluetooth
Does the DUDU7 fully support SPP (Classic Bluetooth) in addition to BLE?
Are BT 2.1 / BT 3.0 SPP-only OBD2 adapters working without issues?
Are BLE-only LED controllers (e.g. cheap chinese RGB controllers) detected and usable?
Can multiple BT devices be paired at the same time? (phone + OBD2 etc.)
2️⃣ Wi-Fi
Can the Wi-Fi operate in AP + STA mode simultaneously (hotspot + client)?
Are there Wi-Fi drops when using Wireless Android Auto?
Is it possible to connect a Wi-Fi dashcam while still using 4G for internet?
3️⃣ USB / OTG / ADB
Does the DUDU7 support full USB OTG (device mode)?
Is ADB over USB or Wi-Fi actually working, or is it blocked by firmware?
Is tactile mirroring via scrcpy/ADB possible?
Can a powered USB hub be used without issues?
📌 Feedback from users
For those who already own a DUDU7:
Have you successfully connected a Classic BT SPP OBD2 adapter?
Have you tested BLE LED controllers?
Does ADB/mirroring really work?
Any recommended firmware version?
🎯 Goal
If the DUDU7 has fully open BT + Wi-Fi + USB/ADB,
then it would replace my UIS8581 without needing extra workarounds.
But if Bluetooth is still locked down like most Chinese head units, then it would not be worth upgrading.
Thanks in advance for your technical feedback 👍
