I've been trying to find what consumes too much Internet data for DuduOS and then came to a conclusion using some tools that Spotify cache and downloaded music library get removed every time I update to newer version using OTA or USB method without factory reset. I would need to download all the music files again in Spotify to enable off-line or bufferless playback and this process takes a lot of time and consumes a huge chunk of Internet data.
As per my knowledge and experience every OS (i.e. Android, IOS, Windows, MacOS etc.) retains any personal content (Music, Photos, Apps, Files, Accounts, Settings etc.) during update unless a factory reset or certain type of reset is performed that may trigger wiping data. DuduOS (7862) does not retain downloaded music it seems however it retains settings, accounts etc.
Is this a bug or Am I missing something?
