Problem Identified:
When I'm driving, I often use the radio app to listen to ambient music at a very low volume. However, the volume of GPS instructions and alerts is synchronized with the radio's general volume. This means that at low volumes, crucial GPS information becomes inaudible, compromising both safety and navigation.
Proposed Solution:
I suggest adding a new setting to the radio's volume configuration. This feature would allow users to set a dedicated minimum volume for the GPS app, ensuring that navigation information is always audible, regardless of the radio's volume.
How It Would Work:
The user would have the option to set a minimum volume value for the GPS (for example, 10).
If the radio's current volume is higher than this value (e.g., 25), the GPS volume would automatically match the radio's level (25).
If the radio's volume is below the set minimum volume (e.g., 8), the GPS volume would be automatically raised to the predefined minimum value (10).
Practical Examples:
Radio at 25 = GPS at 25 (Volume matches the radio)
Radio at 8 = GPS at 10 (Volume is automatically raised to the set minimum)
I'm referring to GPS but this can be extended to all apps.
