Toyota Corolla canbus problem

I own a 2021 Toyota Corolla Hybrid Touring Sports and recently purchased the DUDU7. I’ve been experiencing problems mostly related to the CANBUS system.

Here’s a picture of the back of my original head unit:

Currently, I’m using the Raise CANBUS RZ-FT01. I’ve attached a screenshot for your reference:

When I bought the head unit from AliExpress, I encountered a payment issue. As a result, I had to purchase the head unit frame and wiring harness separately. I searched on Taobao and AliExpress, but I couldn’t find a wiring harness that could be plugged and played into my car system without any modifications.

After making the necessary modifications, the DUDU7 finally turned on. However, I’m still facing several issues related to the CANBUS system.

Only following is working normally:
The door information.
Sterling wheel button.

Everything else is either working partially or not at all.

Here are some of the issues I’ve encountered:

When I go to the “Vehicle information” section and select “Setup,” most of the items don’t respond.
The head unit doesn’t display radar information.
The air conditioning system cannot be controlled by the head unit (which is expected), but the screen can show some information (but not all) when I control it using the original car button.
When I use the Bluetooth phone, during a call, the car dashboard shows information about the call. However, after I hang up, the car dashboard still shows that I’m in a call, even after I quit the Bluetooth phone app. I have to reboot the head unit for the display in the car dashboard to become normal again.
An extra option called “Set the minute to 00” starts appearing on the car dashboard.

I also own a RZ-FT02, RZ-FT52, and I’ve tried plugging them in, but I’ve had the same issues as the RZ-FT01.

I also own SimpleSoft and Hiworld CANBUS boxes, but it seems there’s no corresponding car model in the CANBUS menu.

I’ve attached the CANBUS log when I tried to press some of the options on the “Setup” section of the “Vehicle information” for your reference.

josephhung Does the factory screen support climate control?

You mentioned there's no radar or door information. Is the C-port properly plugged in?

Is the SWC functioning properly?

There is no factory climate control. It is expected that no control , but the A/C app can show some information change like when I turn the temperature knob, but not all action on the A/C information can be show on screen. e.g. when I turn on the defogger.

Door information can be shown on screen. But not radar information.

I assume your car's radar is displayed on the instrument panel?

yes…. it’s display on the instrument panel.

josephhung The CAN bus data read by the CANBUS box from the central control unit does not contain this data. Therefore, this information is not available. If you want to implement a radar display, try connecting the CAN bus from the instrument panel (this is a DIY installation, not a standard one).

Problems

The options in setup mostly no response and an extra line is show on instrument panel when canbus box attached. The ‘clock:00’ line should not be there..

josephhung what year is your car? Just a hint, worth trying. I have the same car as you, but 2019. Use FT RZ 02 and select RAV 4 - 2019/2020 in the canbus settings. For me this one works better than the Corolla protocol.

is the discuss board at dudu lucky is already down? Because I just find the QQ group for the mainland user.. but the group now is just a chat room…. very few information can be gathered from the QQ group…
as i look through the QQ group, I just see some old toyota raise canbus box accept LIN bus input… since the AC of my car also have LIN bus information. I just wanna know if it is possible to feed the information to the canbus box i am using… just for my interest only….
