Feature Request for Dudu 6 with Dudu 360 Camera
I am currently using Dudu 6 with the Dudu 360 Camera, and I would like to propose a few enhancements that I believe will greatly improve both safety and user experience for all drivers.
1. Speed-based activation of 360 Camera
At present, the system only provides the option to disable the 360 Camera above 30 km/h. However, if the car is traveling at much higher speeds (e.g., >80 km/h), the 360 Camera can still appear in PiP mode when triggered, which distracts the driver and reduces safety.
- Request: Please add a configurable option for the 360 Camera to work only below a user-defined speed limit (e.g., 20 km/h). This ensures the camera is active only in low-speed conditions such as parking or maneuvering, where it is truly useful.
2. Blind-spot camera at high speeds
When driving at high speeds (e.g., above 80 km/h), using the turn signal to change lanes currently triggers the 360 Camera view. In these moments, what drivers really need is a clear view of blind spots to ensure safety while changing lanes.
- Request: Please allow users to configure a blind-spot camera view (rear/side) to appear when signals are activated at higher speeds (with customizable thresholds such as 60, 70, or 80 km/h).
Add optional alerts (e.g., audible beep or colored overlay) when blind-spot camera shows a nearby object. Not as advanced as radar-based systems, but still useful.
3. Reversing with better wheel visibility
When reversing, drivers need to see not only the back but also the rear wheels for precise maneuvering in tight spaces. Currently, this view is limited.
- Request: Please add an option that, when reversing and signaling, the 360 Camera automatically displays both the rear view and the corresponding rear wheel view (based on which side the signal is activated).
These enhancements will make the Dudu 360 Camera safer, smarter, and more adaptable to real-world driving situations. They empower users to customize the system to their driving habits, ensuring both convenience and safety.
Thanks for reading,
I am looking forward to hearing from everyone.
