Camera not showing when reversing

I have bought a dudu reverse camera (DUDU-For SONY 662 camera AHD 1080P)
My car is an old mitsubishi pajero sport from 1999
I tried to look around the settings if something is missing but everything looks ok, I also restored the unit to factory settings just to be sure.
I've connected the trigger wire that is closer to the camera connection to the positive backup light cable, and on the headunit side I've connected the video and the power for the camera, the other cable on the side of the headunit is not connected.
If I go to the dashcam app, I can see that the camera is working, but when I put the car in reverse, the camera does not popup

Hi,
That because your unit does not receive reverse signal (i assume your car does not have canbus).

Make sure your trigger wire is connected to G5 (HU Side) and check if you have 12v signal on this cable (when reverse is engaged)

I have connected the G5 cable, but nothing happens when I put the car into reverse, I have checked both connections on the g5 connection and on the reverse light and both have around 11v, almost 12v.

In "Settings - Vehicle - Factory settings (pass: 108) - Reversing image mode", check if this option is on "Reverse image mode", and restart device

I have checked the settings everything looks OK, I have also restarted the ui and also rebooted the system and no changes unfortunately

Any more ideas on how to fix this, everything on the settings is activated, and the camera has image on the dashcam app, the only thing missing is the reverse triggering the camera

You can try to apply manually 12V on G5 to see if the unit switch to the reverse camera view.
Or wait for a DUDU technician to answer

Connect the wiring harness as shown in the figure and measure whether there is 12V voltage when the G5 is in reverse gear.

I did connect it has the picture and when I put reverse I get almost 12v, around 11.8v on the g5, but nothing pops up.

jpc Check the G5 pin for loose contact. Alternatively, connect the ACC/B + 12V power supply to the G5 and see if it reverses.

Go to Settings > CANBUS > Factory > Password 108 > Other Settings > Reverse Image Switch and turn it on.

I have the Reverse image switch turned on, I checked with the multimeter for continuity between the g5 cable and the connector and it bips, showing that power is passing through, and I have also tried to connect the 12v acc cable directly to the g5 cable, but unfortunately no luck the camera is not triggering, how should I proceed next

Try to perform a full factory reset (with full latest firmware extracted on USB, with "factory reset" folder).
If nothing change, you may have a faulty device, or faulty harness (check G5 pin in socket)...

The socket pin and the g5 wire are connected, I tested the continuity and it was OK, I can try to do the factory reset by the folder, I'll look into that, if nothing works and my unit turns out to be faulty what can I do to get it fixed?

If your device is faulty, you can contact your reseller for warranty.

jpc In the version information, check if there is any information in the MCU column. This may also happen if the MCU does not work.

dudu-lai I have posted a screenshot of the version information screen, or is it a different screen? I can see there MCU Firmware, and is showing the firmware version. What do you mean by MCU column?
