Normally, when music is playing, turning the car off will pause the music.
I have a task that waits until the unit is connected to my phone's wifi hotspot before playing. This task has a side effect of making the music continue playing after the unit has gone to sleep.
I tested this by disabling the task, seeing it pause properly, then enabling and observing the song continuing to play while asleep. My guess is that the wifi connects again after the unit goes to sleep and triggers play right after the unit pauses.
One possible solution would to prevent any sort of playback while the unit is in sleep mode. Another bigger solution would be to add software that plays upon startup and pauses upon sleep for any 3rd party music app.
