How To Update?

Hi, very new to the Dudu7 family. I have a message pop up on my head unit saying there's a new version. Great - initially I had no idea what to do with this (also this message disappears way to quickly). It would be great if there was an option to click on this message so you could be taken to update the system. I found this forum and there was mention of an OTA to update the version. I found this app eventually and there was an option to download the update. I click on this option and nothing appears to happen. Click it again, same thing. I've rebooted the system and gone back into OTA but still nothing is showing me if it is downloading or not.

I find the lack of informative instructions on how things work for a released software to be quite disturbing.

Can someone please explain the update process to me in detail?

Most of the new versions of the forum are beta versions that need to be downloaded manually and upgraded using a USB flash drive. OTA only pushes out official versions.

DUDU-Meng So would the head unit inform me of only an official version or a beta version also?

The default setting only allows you to receive the official version. If you enable the switch to receive the test version, you can receive updates for the public beta version. Some internal test versions are only available to internal test users, or you can download the firmware package manually.
