Cabled Android Auto Connection

I just installed a new Dudu7 9.5 inch HU. Everything is working great, apart from i cannot get Android Auto to connect with a cable. It works OK wireless using carlink 2.0, but when I connect via USB nothing happens.

I have tried using the 4 pin usb1 connection, and also the usb c port on the back of the unit. My phone reports I'm connected for data/Android Auto in both instances. I have tried 2 phones - and S20 and an S23. Both phones work correctly for Android Auto on other vehicles standard HUs.

This problem was evident on v3.6, so I upgraded to v3.6E, but it didn't fix the issue.

Is there something I need to do? An application I need to install for cabled AA - a bit like carlink 2.0? It's as though the HU is not broadcasting that its an AA host.

spidermunky check Vehicle > Factory setting (pass 108)> USB and if you have checked carlink?
