Normal mode. Is there any way to stop that thing downloading covers from Internet.?
Using Uapp tidal and covers usually don't match these in UAPP, and majority of time they are wrong as it looks like it's matching just from the title and not fully.?

If it is local music, it will prioritize reading the built-in images in the file. If there are no built-in images, it will search the internet. For third-party music players, if online music can be read, it will use the read images. If it cannot be read, it will match and download images from the internet.
Currently, there is no way to prevent it from downloading.

DUDU-Meng that's a flaw. Sometimes UAPP delays cover for a few seconds until is fully downloaded due to network slowdown (tidal). I'm ending up with completely wrong art covers.

However, the reality is that many APPs do not open API interfaces to the outside world, which makes it impossible for us to obtain the cover and can only obtain it from our own server.

DUDU-HUANG I'm quite curious as why you force Internet downloading of covers and lyrics without giving users a choice if they want to. First, data is expensive in some countries, secondly cover and lyrics matching is very bad, majority of covers are wrong, lyrics work maybe in three out of 100 songs (I doubt if any lyrics are necessary in a driven car, yet alone there is no plugin layout in normal mode without them, in compact mode instead of opening the app when tapping on the cover, I must see "no lyrics" message instead).
And finally, UAPP is used by a lot of people here (usb bit perfect), so I don't understand why Dudu and only Dudu has problems with reading its covers..

BTW UAPP is fine, on my android phone no app or widget has any problem with grabbing cover from UAPP (lockscreen, notification bar, media widget, you name it).

DUDU-HUANG in normal mode there are 3 layouts for music plugin / widgets. All of them have lyrics forced on the screen.

Additionally, in minimalist mode, the music widget on tap only opens lyrics section. With no option to open the app which is playing, and this I would consider a default option for tapping an album cover in a widget. To open the app, I need to tap microscopic three dots in the widget and then tap to open app. Impossible to do it safe in a driven car (the UI is tiny for this).

Now, regarding the UAPP (USB Audio Player Pro). You included it in the list in the music widget as compatible app with the widget. So, my understanding is that it has been tested and approved. It is not an exotic niche app, but the app that almost all people using USB audio on DUDU use.
I scratch my head why in that case I should contact developer of this app to get it sorted instead of saying "there is a bug" and Dudu devs should fix it (if it involves contacting the UAPP dev - I don't care). I don't know what is the issue, so I assume Dudu devs and UAPP dev would be much better match together to sort it out.
Why do I need to do a devs job for a company I paid over 550USD for a product?I'm happy to troubleshoot and give ideas about something I spotted is wrong or doesn't make sense, but I'm not willing to do job for you.

DUDU-HUANG I'm not prejudiced. I just don't get this level of customer service when I spent money equivalent to double monthly salary in some countries - just to be told to contact app developer. I don't know what is the exact problem and I don't know how dudu handles the cover art, so it is better for Dudu devs to have a chat with UAPP dev.
Maybe it's a difference but "hold on, I'll drop an email to uapp dev and see what they say" would be much better customer service for you. I do design some programmable devices and that would be MY approach if my customer says there is a problem - because I know what I programmed in the device, my customer simply doesn't!

It's nothing personal. It's just majority of things users point out, they are being either met with no reply, or swept under the rag.
I've got a list of issues and things that could be immediately improved but no-one even bothers to answer to some of them, and it's very frustrating. I'll give you some examples. I'd be OK with it if I was the only one to complain about a particular problem but if a few people complain and no explanation is provided, it just boils my piss.

linear volume control, allegedly people were asking for it (but I can't find even one post asking for it anywhere). Audio enthusiasts on other forums called introducing this volume control method as "insane".
navi bar on 9.5 is just less than a centimeter high. Impossible to operate in a car
music widget forgets what player was playing before sleep
tpms widget is designed like a nonsense, car is vertical with values from tpms, takes 1/4 of the widget, 3/4 of the widget is just TMPS OK, BE SAFE TO DRIVE. Put the car horizontal so it's actually readable.
street name working only in China, while openstreet map would work in whole world.
wifi on / off as an action in tasks
no phone contacts shortcuts or any method to call the contact programatically, no widget with fav contacts
Etc etc.

We also have a large version development plan, so not every demand can be implemented quickly, but we will try our best to meet the needs of different riders. The linear volume control issue requires discussion with relevant personnel.
The Navi Bar height has undergone multiple adjustments and is currently at the optimal height determined through comprehensive consideration.
For TPMS car models displayed horizontally, this likely refers to very low-profile plugins (e.g., mini versions). Their height prevents proper placement of upright car models, and compression distortion would result in an even worse visual effect.
Street data retrieval requires access to the map's open SDK. Currently, China's AutoNavi Maps provides this data. Whether OpenStreetMap offers such an interface remains unknown and can be verified later.
Are you inquiring about enabling/disabling Wi-Fi via automated tasks? If so, please document this for future testing to confirm feasibility.
The phone contact shortcut feature has been logged as a 3.7 version request, but its implementation status through filtering remains undetermined.
