Any way to use Widgets? Need to access driving mode in Google Maps

Driving mode in Google Maps is when it just shows the map around where you are without having a set destination.

Google, in their infinite wisdom, has made the only way to access driving mode in Google Maps be through using an Android desktop widget.

How can I access this on a Dudu7 unit?

WoOOOhOOO as far as I know you cannot.
Would be a great feature if we could have one "freestyle widget" as a container that would accept any standard android widget inside...

WoOOOhOOO I may have a solution but will test tomorrow. Overlay app can throw an overlay containing shortcut / widget. Will keep you informed.
