Rear camera customization.

Hello, It should be possible to adjust more settings on the rearview camera when reversing.

For example:

Resize the car/radar and move it.
In my car, the radar takes up almost half the screen, making it difficult to see the left side of the rear.
Resize the camera image as well.
In my car, the camera is too large on the screen. If it could be smaller, for example, just half the screen, I know it would cause pixelation and distortion, but the user might like it that way.

The camera can also be adjusted. Please upload a screenshot of your system information.
You can also try shifting into reverse gear and touching the screen to see if the split screen/full screen switch appears.

You can also try clicking on “Trajectory Style” and then “Style 1” repeatedly. A menu for adjustment will appear.

Hey, I've tried several things and I can't adjust the camera. I've managed to adjust the radar, but I can't adjust the camera. I can only adjust the brightness and other image settings.

etrigo Check this settings tab. Settings/Vehicle/Reverse camera/press the triangle on the Display radar and you'll have the options from the photo. This are the only ways to adjust the camera. If you're using the OEM rear camera you must live with the bad quality. If you want better quality replace it with a DUDU rear camera.

Hi, yes, mine is the original rear camera. But the problem isn't the quality, it's the size. It didn't need to take up the entire screen.

etrigo I totally understand you. I have the same situation. But it is not possible at the moment and I don't think it will be possible in the future, as most manufacturers including DUDU (it is only a personal opinion) have bigger margins on the accessories (rear, front camera and so on) than on the devices themselves. This would be a nice feature to have but I honestly don't think it would be implemented.

MihaiFlorin this one is actually pretty easy to implement, IMO. The problem is the camera is 4:3 aspect ratio stretched to 16:9.
App should have a settings to force pixel ratio to squeeze it back to 4:3. Almost all video players have this option.
I think though the video app to show reverse camera is not Dudu's, so limited options remain to alter it.

Mikescotland In my case the 4:3 ratio is preserved if I choose split screen right or left. The black part of the screen. Problem is that the original head unit had a 640x480 resolution and if you display that resolution on a 2k screen the quality goes bad.

MihaiFlorin quality of course, will be bad, can't compare lower than dvd quality with 2K! 🙂

Hi Mike. (Apologies to the Op for intruding on their thread)

Had a quick search but couldn't find your thread but I seem to recall you wanting the screen brightness to be lower - even lower than the settings offered.
Not sure if this was covered (or if it was even you I'm recalling) but I noticed today in the main Android settings/Accessibility/Display there's an option to lower the screen brightness further. Maybe you wasn't aware, just thought I'd mention it

Mikescotland And another thing Toyota cameras were never known for their image quality. I have a Toyota and I think the OP has also a Toyota.

reg66 it's exactly the same thing as extreme dark mode.
DuduOS settings is just a shortcut to this settings in android.
If you turn it on and then go to android settings, you'll see it's on and exactly same value on the slider as in DuduOS.
So, again, it's just a grey overlay.

MihaiFlorin still better than my first reverse camera. Around 200 pixels vertical it was! 😂

Yes, it's a Toyota, but I'm not unhappy with the quality. I just think it was unnecessary to have the camera on the entire screen 😅
