3rd party music player access to USB 2 and 3

It appears that using USB input with a different music player like Player Pro or Poweramp reequires the USB storage to be connected to the USB 1 input. It also appears that the DVR dash cam also needs to be in USB 1. The stock media player is by far the worst I've ever seen, and does not have a Folder navigation mode, only Song, Album, or Search option. Using a 3rd party music player app is fine, but is useless if it can't read the USB drive because I have the DVR plugged into USB 1. Can this be fixed with a firmware update? USB 2 and 3 are rendered useless by this arrangement - please make all 3 USB inputs have equal capabilities. My music library is far too big to fit in the internal storage.

In theory, the DVR dashcam should work regardless of whether you insert it into USB port 1, 2, or 3. The same applies to USB drives used for storing music. I'm not sure what your issue is.

DUDU-Meng From what I've read, music players like Player Pro or Poweramp require the USB storage to be connected to the USB #1 input. I've tried both of those players and they DO NOT see any files on the external USB drive plugged into USB #2. I copied files into the built-in internal storage and they read them fine. Unless there is some setup trick to recognizing the other ports? I have no choice to use such apps, because the stock media player is pure garbage - no folder navigation; plays everything in MP3-tag alphabetical order with no other options like by file name; has no ability to FF or a progress bar to jump to a point in the song; doesn't fill the screen without an additional button press.

I still recommend that you copy your music files to the built-in storage for use, as this will be more stable and the music files will load faster after startup.

This is not the solution, because a real music lover uses lossless music. And when using lossless, even 512 GB of internal storage fills up easily.
I would also say that getting music to the players via any USB port is a reasonable thing to expect.

I am also planing to run multi terabyte external nvme ssd.

@janis @DUDU-Meng that's not true. I'm using poweramp with usb stick 128GB FAT32 connected even via USB hub (not powered) to USB2 and no problem with accessing files. It identifies as USB5 IN DUDU.
The key is to go to power amp, settings, library and select and GIVE android permissions for poweramp to access the external drive.
I don't think it's a Dudu problem, it's rather user problem with setting up access to the drive.
It's been like this since android 9 i believe.

I had done that several times without success, but all of a sudden it started working. Thank goodness.
