Thanks for the response. Take a look at the pics. The pcb is solely connected via that 12 pin ribbon cable that also successfully is powering the LEDs with headlights on/enabling binding the hardware buttons. I wired it exactly the same way as the previous TS10 hardware was.
There is a daughter board that appears to intercept inputs from both the display and the hardware button PCBs
Display (Mic - Working, Reset Button - Working) > Daughter Board > DUDU7 Motherboard
External PCB (Hardware Buttons - Working, Rotary Dial - NON FUNCTIONAL) > Daughter Board > DUDU7 Motherboard
Seeing as the volume knob module has 5 pins, it looks like it's a rotary encoder. I'm guessing DUDU would have to be willing to patch the MCU to handle these pulses to expose them to android or do you think/know a USB protocol goes through that 12-pin ribbon cable?
