Rotary Dial / Volume Knob Remapping support

Looking for further support in the MCU Panel Remapping Tool to include Rotary Dial's/Volume Knobs.

I retrofitted an older android head unit case with preexisting buttons and a volume knob with a DUDU 7 and its 13" screen using the same 12 pin ribbon cable. ALL of the hardware buttons were successfully able to be mapped via MCU Panel Remapping EXCEPT for the rotary dial/volume knob.

Is there an hidden Encoder Learning or Rotary Key Learning menu or does the MCU not currently support dials?

Btc3111 can you show the back of the rotary knob and how it's connected to a pcb / Dudu?
The keys are resistive so swc will work with no problem. Rotary encoder is not resistive but digital data, might have been connected to usb port previously.

Thanks for the response. Take a look at the pics. The pcb is solely connected via that 12 pin ribbon cable that also successfully is powering the LEDs with headlights on/enabling binding the hardware buttons. I wired it exactly the same way as the previous TS10 hardware was.

There is a daughter board that appears to intercept inputs from both the display and the hardware button PCBs
Display (Mic - Working, Reset Button - Working) > Daughter Board > DUDU7 Motherboard
External PCB (Hardware Buttons - Working, Rotary Dial - NON FUNCTIONAL) > Daughter Board > DUDU7 Motherboard

Seeing as the volume knob module has 5 pins, it looks like it's a rotary encoder. I'm guessing DUDU would have to be willing to patch the MCU to handle these pulses to expose them to android or do you think/know a USB protocol goes through that 12-pin ribbon cable?

Btc3111 the daughter board doesn't seem to do anything except just join together buttons / led and rotary encoder together and to one ribbon. You are most likely right that mcu board decodes the rotary encoder pulses reading straight from the encoder pins.
