Screen off function

I mapped Screen off function with a resistive steering wheel button in 7862s with latest Dudu 3.6E so I can blackout the screen during driving on dark roads to avoid distractions. Looks like it doesn't just blackout the screen rather it stops playing music in Spotify and also wireless Carplay gets disconnected. Is this normal behavior?
