You said that hibernation/shutdown does not work. Does neither of them work, or is it just one of them?

Hibernation is set, but after turning off the ACC, it still shuts down. Does it restart when you get back in the car?
Shutdown is set, but after turning off the ACC, it still enters hibernation mode. Does it wake up from hibernation when you get back in the car?

The head unit stays awake when set to sleep after the car turns off to acc - it also doesn't turn off when set to shut down on acc.. So neither option works when the car goes to acc, it stays on unless I manually hit the head unit power button.

Set it to sleep mode, then turn off the ACC (power off). Will the screen turn off? Wait 5 minutes, then turn on the power and see if it wakes up.
Set it to shutdown mode, then turn off the ACC (power off). Will the screen turn off? Wait a few minutes, then turn the power on and off to see if it wakes up or restarts.

Maybe the previous owner made a bridge between the ACC and BATTERY wires. Back in the day, it was a good solution for turning on the radio without having to turn the ACC on.

UnagiC8 I'm the original owner - I'll make a video showing - the screen stays on regardless of what setting is set even if you leave the car and come back an hour later the screen is still on, the funny part is the buttons on the side go to sleep but not the screen, even with it set to turn the unit off - it still stays on (screen that is)
